Taylor Swift’s new album
For days now Taylor Swift fans have been on the edge of their seats. Swift, who had stepped away from the limelight and has been absent from news headlines (excluding the few about the progress of her countersuit for sexual assault ongoing in the courts), appeared to delete all her social media accounts.
After freaking out for a minute, clever fans quickly put on their sleuthing caps and figured Taylor was up to something. In a matter of hours she began posting what fans believed were clues related to her new album. And right they were!
The singer-songwriter posted a series of video clips featuring a digitised snake. (You will all recall that in the wake of the recent Kim-Kanye-Taylor drama pop culture fans who sided against Taylor began posting snake emojis in response to all her social media posts and in response to Swifties who came to her defence). So it wasn’t surprising when on August 23rd she announced her upcoming album would be called Reputation.
Taylor also announced that the album’s lead single will be out the night of August 24, the album in full to follow on November 10.
What with the seemingly never ending bad blood with Katy Perry, the feud with Kanye and Kim Kardashian and all the comments from the public on Tay’s love life since her split from Calvin Harris and split from Tom Hiddleston, Taylor Swift seems to have a whole lot of material to work with for an album called Reputation, and we can’t wait to hear it.
