Tax offices open Saturdays for traffic ticket amnesty
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) said several of its offices will be open on Saturdays, during the three-month traffic ticket amnesty, beginning this Saturday August 12, to facilitate members of the public in paying outstanding traffic ticket fines.
In a release today, the TAJ said the following tax offices will operate between the hours of 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on Saturdays:
• Constant Spring
• Montego Bay
• Spanish Town
• May Pen
• Mandeville
• Savanna-la-mar
• St. Ann’s Bay
The Portmore Tax Office will continue its regular Saturday opening.
The TAJ said that motorists will be able to utilise the Saturday opening to pay their traffic fines inline or online using the designated eSpots at any of the listed locations.
Taxpayers are reminded that they must have either the ticket number or the traffic ticket itself to facilitate easy payment at tax offices or online via the TAJ portal at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm.
People seeking support to make queries about any outstanding tickets are directed to contact the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Call Centre at 948-0411 Mondays to Thursdays (8:30 am-5:00 pm) Friday (8:30 am-4:00 pm) and Saturdays (10:00 am – 4:00 pm).
