Robber disarmed, shot in Spanish Town
A robber was yesterday relieved of his firearm and shot, while another made a quick escape after the two entered a house yesterday on Hartford Drive, Spanish Town, St Catherine and started robbing occupants.
Police said a struggle ensued during the robbery and one of the hold-up men was disarmed and shot. It was not clear, however, if he was shot with the same gun during the incident that happened about 8:45 am.
Police said one man was taken into custody in relation to the incident, while the Smith and Wesson revolver and two rounds of ammunition were handed over to the police.
