Dressing on a Budget — The $5000 Challenge
CLOTHES can be really expensive these days but all hope isn’t lost. There are still some good stores out there with quality clothes that won’t burn a hole in your pocket.
I came up with the $5000 challenge where I was looking for stores where you can get an outfit, a top and bottom, for $5000 or less.
The first store that came to mind was In Style Daebag Enterprise in Clocktower, Half Way Tree (that’s right across from Papine/Campus taxi stand). In Style has crop tops for as low as $595 and shorts for as low as $1200. That’s already less than $2000, you could buy 2 party outfits with your $5000.
This store is great if you are looking for casual clothes, clothes for work, you name it. I especially recommend this to university students that need clothes but may not have a ton of money to spend.
Even if you don’t know what you are looking for, the staff is really friendly and willing to help, so don’t be afraid to ask for assistance. Alright let’s really talk about cost and demonstrate that your $5000 will be well spent.
Let’s say you wanted to go to a party and need a cute crop top and some shorts.
In addition to that, there are camisoles for less than $1000 and jeggings for less than $2000. These are great buys for casual wear, especially if you want to look put together without a lot of effort when going to school.
However, if you are looking for something formal or semi formal there is a wide range of cardigans, dresses, skirts and more. You can also pick up accessories such as earrings and chains here.
One of my favourite things about the store is that they have a good range of sizes. Being a small person, it’s usually hard for me to find clothes because everything is usually too big but I have no problem finding something to wear here.
I think most people would be able to find their size. In addition to all of that, they have sales from time to time.
If you are looking for somewhere to get affordable clothes please check them out.
