Man charged after 2-y-o daughter dies in St Ann crash
ST ANN, Jamaica — A man, whose daughter died following a crash on May 9, was on Friday charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
He is Omeal Riley, otherwise called ‘Twisted’ of Steer Town, St Ann.
The St Ann’s Bay police reported that Riley was driving a Toyota Tercel motorcar along the Windsor main road in the parish about 10:40pm on the day in mention, when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle and collided with a Toyota Wish motorcar.
His two-year-old daughter, Omealia Riley, and her mother were travelling with him.
Omealia, according to police, sustained multiple injuries and was taken to hospital where she succumbed. Her parents were admitted in serious but stable condition.
The driver of the Toyota wish was treated and released.
