Woman charged with murder after reportedly setting husband on fire
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police are reporting that 36-year-old Senita Blair has been charged with murder after she allegedly set her common-law husband on fire.
Reports are that 42-year-old Kenton Brown, otherwise called ‘Chum’, was at home in Kingston with his common-law wife, Blair, on Friday, May 23 about 11:00 pm, when a dispute ensued between the two.
During the fight, it is alleged that Brown was doused, in what the police described as a “flammable substance”, and set ablaze.
Residents of the community came to his rescue and he was rushed to the hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition.
The 42-year-old, however, succumbed to his injuries four days later, about 7:20 am.
The official Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) Twitter account shared yesterday that Blair had been charged with murder.
