#RacersGrandPrix: Mo Farah celebrates early as he cruises to victory in 3000m
KINGSTON, Jamaica — It was a very controlled performance by Mo Farah of Great Britain as he won the men’s 3,000m in commanding fashion at the second JN Racers Grand Prix currently ongoing at the National Stadium.
Farah, the reigning world and Olympic champion, ran in different parts of the pace in the seven and a half lap JN-sponsored event before taking over with early celebrations on the backstretch with 200m to go.
The successful British athlete over the distance sprinted away in the straight while urging on competitors to win in 7:41.20, which ranks him at number seven in the world this year.
Australian Pat Tierman was second in 7:41.52, with Jamaica’s Kemoy Campbell (7:41.87) in third.
