#RacersGrandPrix: Allyson Felix wins 400m in new meet record
KINGSTON, Jamaica — American Allyson Felix clocked a new meet record 50.52 seconds on her way to victory in the women’s 400m at the second staging of the JN Racers Grand Prix currently ongoing at the National Stadium.
Felix, one of the most decorated American female athletes of all time, was comfortable from start to finish as she lowered the previous meet record of 50.72 seconds set last year by Shericka Jackson.
Jackson who was scheduled to run from lane five was absent from the event.
Courtney Okolo also of the United States was second in 50.72seconds with Nigeria’s Margaret Bamoose (51.79) in third.
