Gas prices up $0.97, diesel up $1.31
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Motorists should see an increase at the pumps in the price of gasoline and an increase in the price of diesel, effective Thursday, June 1, according to the latest ex-refinery costs from Petrojam.
87- and 90-octane gasoline will be sold for $113.66 and $116.50 per litre, respectively, up by $0.97 each.Automotive diesel fuel will be sold for $109.99 per litre following an increase of $1.31, while ultra-low sulphur diesel is up by $1.10, and will be sold for $115.51 per litre.Meanwhile, kerosene increased in price by $1.47 and will be sold for $92.76 per litre. Propane liquid petroleum will be sold for $43.93 per litre, up by $0.06 and butane liquid petroleum will be sold for $47.70 per litre after a decrease of $0.13.Marketing companies and retailers will add their respective mark-up to these prices.
