Man hit by falling tree in Montego Bay, hospitalised
MONTEGO BAY, St James – A man was a short while ago taken to hospital for medical treatment after being hit by a falling tree in Montego Bay, St James.
The incident occurred at the Queens Drive, Gloucester Avenue and Howard Cooke Highway intersection.The nature of the man’s injury is not known at this time.The Jamaica Fire Brigade (JFB), the Jamaica Public Service, and the police are currently on location.Assistant Superintendent with the JFB, Garfield Skein said that the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) and the St James Municipal Corporation have been notified.He said that manpower is currently needed to cut up and discard the fallen tree.The police are currently directing traffic at the intersection.Anthony Lewis
