Policeman shot dead on Constant Spring Road
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A policeman was this afternoon fatally shot on Constant Spring Road.
Details of the shooting are sketchy at this time; however, reports are that the policeman was shot in the vicinity of the Merl Grove High School. Unconfirmed reports are that the policeman intervened in an attempted robbery and was ambushed by a gunman. Reports are that the gunman was in turn shot by a licensed firearm holder. The area has been cordoned off and there is heavy traffic build-up in surrounding areas. More information later.
