#PennRelays: Edwin Allen sets new 4x100m record
PHILADELPHIA, United States — A record setting Edwin Allen High team lead four Jamaicans into tomorrow’s high school girls Championships of Americas 4x100m finals here at the 123rd Penn Relays Carnival at Franklin Field, Philadelphia.
The team of Kasheika Cameron, Patrice Moody, Shellece Clark, and Tamia Campbell ran 44.76 seconds to break their own school’s record of 45.41 seconds set in 2013 by the team of Ranee Ricketts, Saqukine Cameron, Monique Spencer and Claudette Allen.Edwin Allen could run faster tomorrow if CARIFTA Games Under-18 champion Kevona Davis is added. Hydel High and St Jago High also qualified for the Championships of Americas final.St Andrew High is the only Jamaican school into the Large Schools consolation final while Vere Technical, Excelsior High, Manchester High, St Elizabeth Technical and Herbert Morrison Technical are all through to the Small Schools final.Paul Reid
