Two Canada customs agents charged with trafficking cocaine from Jamaica, Colombia
OTTAWA, Canada (AFP) — Canadian federal police arrested two border agents stationed at the Toronto international airport Thursday and charged them and three others with drug trafficking.
The charges — which include breach of trust, trafficking and conspiracy to traffic illicit drugs — come after an 18-month investigation into organised crime, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said in a statement.The group is accused of having moved over 30 kilograms of cocaine through Canada’s busiest airport during the period, for sale in the Toronto area.The drugs had been shipped from Colombia and Jamaica.
