#Sectoral Debate: New heads appointed to FLA, PICA
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Security Minister Robert Montague, has announced new CEOs for the Firearm Licensing Authority (FLA) and the Passport Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA).
Former CEO of the FLA, Dr Kenroy Weddeburn, who has been credited with the streamlining and improvement of the operational efficiencies, resigned from the post on November 1, 2016.Montague, in naming his replacement, attorney-at-law Shane Dalling, thanked him for his service as “he pursues other paths”. Dalling is also the managing director of Caymanas Track Limited.Meanwhile, Andrew Wynter has been appointed the new CEO of PICA after what Montague said was “a long and exhaustive search and vetting process”.The minister noted that “Jennifer McDonald, a fine public Servant came to the end of her contract at PICA, and the Public Service Commission”.McDonald, who stepped down from the post , was CEO for PICA from 2007.Montague was making his contribution to the 2017/2018 Sectoral Debate in the House of Representatives this afternoon.Moya Hinds
