#Champs2017: Seven points separate top two heading into final day
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The title race for the 107th staging of the ISSA Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships is set to go down to the wire, after Edwin Allen and Kingston College closed day four slightly in front at the National Stadium.
Only seven points separate the top two teams on the boys’ side with Kingston College still in front on 139 points after 18 events scored.
Defending champions Calabar are second on 132 points, with Jamaica College (98 points), St Jago (69 points) and St Elizabeth Technical (40 points) making up the top five heading into Saturday’s final day.
On the girls’ side, Edwin Allen the defending champions are on 130 points after 20 events scored, 20 points ahead of Holmwood Technical on 110 points and St Jago on 104 points. Hydel (89 points) and Excelsior (65 points) complete the top five.
