Catherine Hall open double-digit lead in St James Senior League
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Catherine Hall FC have opened up a double-digit lead over the field in Zone One of the St James Football Association Sandals International Senior League after edging Heights FC 1-0 in their top of the table clash at the UDC Field on Friday afternoon.
Kemario Murdock scored the winner in the 68th minute as Catherine Hall raced to 19 points from seven games, 11 points more than second-placed Heights FC, who have played a game less.
The goal was Murdock’s fifth of the season and ties him with Lilliput Rover’s Jeremy Bucknor and Club Stars’ Terrick Dixon.
Dixon scored a hat-trick on Friday as Club Stars edged Mountain Villa 3-2 at Spot Valley High School and improved to third place with seven points from five games.
Dixon scored in the 20th, 48th and 70th minutes before Mountain Villa rallied with two late goals, Andre Gardner scoring in the 72nd and Gregory Kerr in the 88th minute.
