Cliff gives ‘Life’ line
Singer Jimmy Cliff has released his new single, Life, which he’s hoping will uplift the spirits of its listeners.
Written by Jimmy Cliff and produced by Steven “Lenky” Marsden, Life is the lead single from the upcoming album tentatively called Somerton. It was released on March 10.
“I wrote and sang Life. I know that Jamaicans will love it as that is the mood they want to be in. They are waiting on this song to uplift the spirit. I hope that this song will motivate the people … a song to uplift and inspire,” said Jimmy Cliff.
“I am really excited about this album. I haven’t finalised the name yet, but I, right now, I am concentrating on releasing singles,” he continued.
Producer Clive Hunt is slated to produce eight singles for the project.
Jimmy Cliff’s given name is James Chambers. He hails from Somerton in St James.
