Klansman member sentenced to 10 years
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jordan Markland, a member of the notorious Klansman Gang, which operates in Spanish Town and environs, was today sentenced to 10 years. However, his sentenced was discounted by one year and seven months because he was in custody for that period.
Markland who appeared in the St Catherine Home Circuit Court today was found guilty under the 2014 anti-gang legislation.
He was charged on July 4, 2015, and was among several members of the feared Klansman and One Order gangs operating in and around Spanish Town, the St Catherine capital. He was held by detectives from the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime (C-TOC) Investigation Branch and the St Catherine North Division.
