Bugle rocks Redbones
LAST Friday’s live show at Redbones Blues Cafe was billed ‘Dub Love’. It had an intense party vibe created by singjay, Bugle.
The Rastafarian artiste rocked the joint with an engaging stint, which not only included his popular songs but his newest dance moves which he calls ‘The Bobo Rock’.
Opening with the title track from his latest album, Be Yourself, Bugle had the large audience bobbing and singing to favourites like Journeys, Don’t Blame Life, Time and more, to seal an amazing evening which started with singer/guitarist Yeshwa, backed by the UKB Band and Gideon Dance Sensations.
Yeshwa lit a spark with his powerful vocals. His originals Mama Love, Kingdom Pain and Cut Her Loose — which warns about the dangers of love triangles — hit the mark.
A mix of originals and covers helped Indie Allen (supported by singer Jamila) deliver a convincing performance with I’ve Been Waiting, I Know You Love Me, Give Me A Try, Here For You and an entertaining rendition of Gregory Isaacs’ Night Nurse.
