All set for fourth serving of MoBay’s chamber FFAD
All is now set for the much-anticipated fourth staging of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry Fashion, Food and Dance (FFAD) at The Shoppes at Rose Hall in St James on Saturday.
“This event will outclass all others before, with the splendid line-up of professionals and surprise entertaining acts from well-known Montegonians,” said Joy Clark, the event chair, who was in charge of the inaugural staging of FFAD in 2004.
Now a staple on western Jamaica’s social calendar, Clark said the all-inclusive package, which is set to start at 6:30 pm and end at midnight, will feature the finest culinary fare from Jamaica’s leading hotels and chefs, as well as Montego Bay’s top executives on the runway.
Patrons will be able to party to the music and vibe of DJ Pinchaz.
An added feature to this year’s event is the inclusion of dance performances by the Mahogany Dancers and Montego Bay’s talented executives, which include special performance by actor and newspaper publisher Lloyd B Smith and businessman Robert Russell.
“This segment will be covering five genres of music: ska, rock and roll, African, soca, reggae and dancehall,” said Clark.
Patrons will be able to benefit from the networking opportunities available to representatives of corporate entities, and so will be able to use the occasion to connect with existing and potential clients and share new and exciting products and services.
Part proceeds of FFAD are in aid of the chamber’s ‘My MoBay Clean Up’ initiative, while the contribution for the event remains, as it has been since 2014, at ‘J’$5,000 per person.
