This year, females undoubtedly stepped up there fashion game and showed that the Jamaican fashion industry had various stars and icons. The year was unfortunately marred however by a few horrible instances of fashion misdemeanours that led to us at

teenAGE having to choose a “worst dressed” for the year.

This year we had some difficulties in selecting someone fitting the title of worst dressed, but with some thought one popular female was identified.

This individual is the legendary Jamaican dancehall artiste Charmaine Munroe, known more commonly as Macka Diamond.

Now, we don’t want to be ganging up on Macka (as we also gave her worst local artiste) but it is with heavy hearts that we witnessed several of her outfits this year.

While Macka Diamond who is forty-three-years old has changed her name numerous times over the years an unfortunate lack of style has remained this year. The

Die Die singer was not seen much for the 2016 music year but her few appearances were memorable due to her brightly coloured outfits that lacked simple colour coordination.

One example of this was at a popular dancehall persona’s birthday event a few weeks ago where she was seeing sporting a royal blue dress and shoes as well as blond hair that was in an unfortunate disarray and poorly done makeup.

Such a look is common for Munroe and unfortunately in the fashion world she has had much more misses than hits. While at forty-three, some may believe her chance at redemption has passed but us at

teenAGE feel there may be hope in 2017, for improvement in the fashion arena.
