Santa Cruz, St Elizabeth — Shoppers also came out in large numbers in this south-central town on Thursday night to take advantage of Jamaica Observer Takes Style Out bargains.
“It went well,” said Andrea Wilson, manager at Maxie Department Store.
“I didn’t see the crowd like last year, but people spent more,” she added.
She said customers were using “lots of credit card and debit cards” to pay their bills, suggesting to her that many were month-end, salaried workers.
