Port Royal seafood fest tomorrow
TOMORROW, Heroes Monday, seafood and entertainment lovers will journey to Port Royal for the Grace Tropical Rhythms Port Royal Seafood Festival.
The event, which is celebrating its 16th anniversary, promises to be totally engaging and filled with excitement. Patrons will be treated to a live entertainment package from Ninjaman, I-Octane, Romain Virgo, Admiral Bailey, Kevin Downswell and Dancin’ Dynamites.
The Jamaica Observer caught up with promoter and media personality Jennifer “Jenny Jenny” Small who said that this year’s staging will boast a marching band for the first time in the festival’s history.
“The festival gets better each year and this staging will be no different. The marching band will be added and will be a treat for the entire family. NEPA [National Environment and Planning Agency] is also on board to inform and educate about the environment. It will be totally engaging,” she said.
One of the seafood festival’s highlights will be the Celebrity Chef Cook-Off, which will feature dishes from the likes of 100-metre hurdler Megan Simmonds, dancehall artiste Kiprich and attorney-at law and MP Allando Terrelonge.
