Cops name person of interest in March Pen murders
The police have named Marvin Campbell Sr as a person of interest in their investigation into the murders of five people early on Sunday morning in the March Pen area of Spanish Town, St Catherine.
The victims were identified as Salesha Evans, 24, and her nine-year-old son Revaughn Evans; Venisha Bartley, 22, and her two-year-old daughter Koyandra Wynter; and 14-year-old Marvin Campbell Jr. Four houses were also burnt to the ground by rampaging gunmen.
Since the killings the police have made a public appeal for Campbell to turn himself in to them, but up to news time he had not done so.
The police high command yesterday urged residents of St Catherine North and South, in particular, Spanish Town, Portmore, Linstead, and Old Harbour to disassociate themselves from people who are known to be committing crimes in the areas.
