Award-winning journalist Cliff Hughes is moving his popular daytime radio talk show, Cliff Hughes Online , from Power 106 to his Nationwide Radio next Monday, October 3.

“My last programme on Power 106 will be on Thursday, September 29,” Hughes told the Jamaica Observer yesterday.

Hughes started the programme at Power just over two years ago and has increased the station’s listenership during the 10:00 am to 2:00 pm slot through hard-hitting unbiased commentary, incisive and informed analysis and a willingness to engage callers on any issue.

The veteran journalist, who has won numerous awards, launched Nationwide News Network in January 2005 and the station quickly earned a reputation for breaking stories.

Hughes’s decision to take his call-in show to Nationwide will likely strengthen the station’s morning listenership as he will occupy the 10:00 am to 1:00 pm slot, following on the already strong Nationwide This Morning hosted by Dennis Brooks and Kalilah Enriquez which will now run from 6:00 am to 8:30 am, while Vernon Derby’s At Your Service will fill the hours between 8:30 am and 10:00 am.
