Timeless Fashion
If you try to keep up with the dynamic fashion forward world we live in… slow down for a moment and take a breath. Here are some ideas to keep your fashion sense timeless even with change. Spoiler alert, this is for the ladies.
Flatter yourself . Be aware of your strong points and play up to them. Plunging necklines for ladies with cleavage, high waists for those with toned stomachs or fitted bottoms for our curvy divas. If you are blessed with all of the above then you should be fine from here on.
Leave a little intrigue. Being suggestive in how much skin you show and at what time is one way to keep the element of mystery and intrigue going. Nothing calls attention more than a juicy secret so choose the body part you want to show off and don’t be afraid to conserve the rest for another occasion.
Bright sparkly accessories. If your closet is loaded with a lot of whites, blacks or neutral then fear not! Bold, bright accessories are here to save the day. Be brave and compliment your top with a purse or bag. Be daring and match those bold earrings with an equally bold belt. Stay fashion conscious and let your accessories do the shouting!
Get the hem right. “The biggest mistake women make is wearing pants that aren’t the right length for their shoes,” says stylist Kate Young. To fix this, hem to either heels or flats, generally hems should just graze the tops of your shoes and be from 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch off the floor. No dragging ladies, it’s just not becoming of a woman.
Jeans tight, jeans right… When in doubt, go with the smaller size in jeans. They always stretch, and nothing’s more unflattering than the unintentionally baggy derrière.
Pump it up! Ladies it is a fashion essential for you to own a pair of nice pumps. Trends may change and
“strappy” sandals one may fade. However only one pair of pumps in your closet, in a neutral or nude to match your skin tone is the safest, most sensible shoe decision you will ever make.
