5 former champs score Dacosta Cup wins
LINSTEAD, St Catherine — Dinthill Technical High School were one of five former champions who started their quest for honours in the ISSA/FLOW daCosta Cup schoolboy football competition with wins yesterday.
Dinthill beat Bog Walk High 3-1 in their Zone K game played in Linstead with Antonio Roberts, Jamar Ranger and a penalty from Alwayne Harvey taking them to the victory.
There were also wins for St James High, Frome Technical, Garvey Maceo High and Glenmuir High.
Tyreke Clarke, Tyrique Clarke and Ewan Barton scored for St James High in their 3-0 win over Maldon High in Zone A, while Frome Technical welcomed Knockalva Technical with a 4-1 beating in Zone B.
Garvey Maceo High edged Porus High 1-0, while Glenmuir High were 3-0 winners over Foga Road.
Andrew Edwards made a winning start at Manchester High, leading them to a 5-1 win over Cross Keys, while Lennon High were 5-0 winners over Thompson Town High.
