NHT lead the way in business house basketball
DEFENDING champions National Housing Trust (NHT) beat Sagicor ‘B’ 34-29 points to register their third-straight win in the 2016 Business House Basketball association (BHBA) 3-on-3 Division One League competition last Wednesday.
Both the Division One and Two Leagues have taken a one-week break as a result of Emancipation Day and Independence Day holidays. The competition will resume next Monday with 10 games.
Lennox Lindo, who is the coach of NHT said, this will be much tougher as all the teams have improved.
“I am happy that the teams are not presently focusing on NHT as the one to beat, as a few teams should also be in contention,” he said.
Lennox thinks Bank of Jamaica is very strong and considered the team to beat. Also, SPORTSMAX, five-time champions Grace Cannings and Sagicor ‘A’ are considered strong.
Meanwhile, a new champion will be crowned in the Division Two League as last season’s champions Courts/Unicomer and runners-up Sagicor ‘B’ have been promoted to the Division One League this season.
NHT had also defeated Seprod Group 35-30 and gained a 20-0 walk over win over SPORTSMAX who failed to show.
