May Pen Police appeal for assistance to recover stolen electronics
The May Pen Police are appealing to members of the public to be on the alert for people selling electronics at discounted prices following a break-in at the local branch of a popular retail store, last Sunday.
More than 400 items, including laptops, smartphones, headsets and modems were stolen from the establishment.
As detectives continue to probe the case, they are urging people to promptly report any suspicious persons seen selling or transporting a large number of electronic devices.
The police said those guilty of knowingly purchasing stolen goods are being warned that this is a criminal and punishable offence and are being urged to desist immediately and report the culprits to the nearest police station or the police 119 emergency number.
Persons may also make a report using the Stay Alert application, which is available for download free from the Google Play store.
