A-List Wet pulled from SPF’s roster
A-List Wet, one of the highly anticipated parties on the Summer Playground Fantasy (SPF) calendar, has been cancelled. The Las Vegas-style pool party was slated for the Jewel Resort Water Park in Runaway Bay, St Ann, tomorrow.
In light of the event’s removal from the weekend line-up, SPF Weekend’s bands are now being sold at a reduced price of $15,000 (US$125.00) from $22,500.00 (US$190).
Harvey Lyn, an SPF principal, shared the reason for its A-List Wet’s cancellation.
“Some of A-List’s directors are involved with other parties, so they pulled out of this one,” Lyn told the Jamaica Observer.
Lyn said he is uncertain whether A-List Wet will continue to be a part of SPF’s future staging. He also said a refund of weekend band holders is currently under way.
“We are aware that some of our patrons have already purchased weekend bands and they should immediately contact the concierge at
concierge@spfweekend.com or 1-876-321-6398 for a new ticket. All tickets in hand should be presented to the concierge in order for new tickets to be issued. A refund will thereafter be issued for A-List,” he said.
For patrons who purchased their tickets online through Caribtix, a full refund has already been issued and they are invited to purchase a new ticket through that platform.
SPF begins on July 29 with Forever Beach, a midnight bonfire party at Dunn’s River. Soirée, introduced five years ago, concludes the weekend at Pearly Beach West, located just outside of Ocho Rios.
