Famous cliff diver to take on Rick’s Café challenge
Professional cliff diver David Colturi will head to one of the most famous locations in Jamaica, Rick’s Café, to take on the 35 feet jump off the scenic cliff overlooked by the popular bar.
Rick’s Café was voted one of the best beach bars in the Caribbean and has been a main attraction on Negril’s majestic seven mile beach. It is known for having the most beautiful sunset on the island as well as one of the most famous cliff sides in the region.
Colturi, who made a name for himself at the World Championship Cliff Diving Competition, began competing in 2010 and became the youngest diver to compete in a World Series in 2012. He was able to finish 5th overall in his debut season and though multiple setbacks and injuries, has established himself as one of the world renowned professional cliff divers.
The dive at Rick’s Café will take place on August 1 and will see Colturi performing tricks for the spectators while flying through the air. DJ Nicco is also expected to be there providing entertainment for both locals and tourists alike while they are treated to Colturi’s performance as well as Red Bull specials which will be offered from 1pm – 7pm.
