Archbishop Enos Nuttall to be remembered with health fair
THE Anglican Diocese of Jamaica, owners of the Nuttall Memorial Hospital, will on Saturday, May 28, host a free health fair to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the passing of Archbishop Enos Nuttall.
In fact, the diocese will be staging a weekend of celebratory events, including the health fair on Saturday from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm, in his honour.
The word “Memorial” in its literal sense means “an object in memory of”, often referring to someone who has died. “Nuttall” is in reference to the late Archbishop Nuttall, after whom the health care facility was named.
The late archbishop was considered to be an exceptional visionary, and gave his time and selfless efforts to improving Jamaica’s social development.
This health fair will offer free checks and consultations with qualified medical personnel, as well as an array of services and products on display from health care suppliers, along with giveaways, games and activities.
In the past, the event has attracted celebrities such as international songstress Tessanne Chin, who incidentally was born at the Caledonia Avenue landmark.
This year the event will also have surprise guest entertainers and will have something for everyone.
Take out grandma, grandpa and the kids and join the hospital in celebration of the man after whom the establishment was named over 92 years ago, when they first opened their doors in the heart of Cross Roads, St Andrew.
