#DecisionJa2016: Voting gains momentum in Trelawny Northern
TRELAWNY, Jamaica — Voting, which started out slowly in Trelawny Northern this morning, is steadily building up in the 214 polling divisions across the constituency.
Long queues were noticed at polling stations in the historic town of Falmouth and at the primary schools in the Clark’s Town and Duanvale communities.
According to Returning Officer Ivanoe Gordon, voting got off to an early start without any glitches in all the polling divisions.
The People’s National Party (PNP) is being represented by newcomer, Victor Wright, who will go up against the Jamaica Labour Party’s (JLP) Dennis Meadows, who will be hoping to reverse his luck after unsuccessfully contesting the seat on two previous, consecutive occasions.
Meadows lost the 2011 elections by more than 2,400 votes.
