#DecisionJa2016: The going is smooth but slow in Hayes
CLARENDON, Jamaica — Voting has been “smooth but slow” at the Hayes Primary and Junior High School, according to an Electoral Office of Jamaica supervisor.
He said that although the day has been without glitches, some stations have been empty for long periods.
His colleague, another supervisor in the cluster, said she expects the turnout will pick up around lunch time.
Hayes is an electoral district in the Clarendon South East constituency where the incumbent Jamaica Labour Party candidate Ruddyard Spencer is fighting off a challenge from the Patricia Duncan Sutherland, a first time candidate for the People’s National Party.
