KINGSTON, Jamaica – As voting kicks off at the Holy Family primary school in the Kingston Central constituency, security personnel are adamant that every rule is adhered to.
Before entering the polling station, voters are being asked to turn their political affiliated shirts on the wrong side to ensure that the faces of the candidates are not shown.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Allison Byfield “the police are in a no-nonsense mood to ensure that all rules and guidelines are followed. Kingston Central is represented by the People’s National Party’s (PNP) Ronald Thwaites with the challenger being the Jamaica Labour Party’s (JLP) Robert Chin.
