#DecisionJa2016: Minor tension in St Andrew Eastern, says PNP official
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — Venesha Phillips, campaign manager for St Andrew Eastern People’s National Party candidate Andre Hylton says that while she is not overly concerned, she does have some unease about “twinges” on the ground in the constituency as voting continues.
Phillips told OBSERVER ONLINE moments ago that there is a “little bit of tension here and there” but that the police have been doing an excellent job of maintaining the peace.
She said significant inroads have been made with the young people in the constituency and that it is important for the community to “stay together”. Phillips says she is urging people not to prolong any of the sputters which have arisen since the opening of the polls.
