#DecisionJa2016: JLP, PNP supporters now in watch mode
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Supporters in several constituencies across Kingston, St Andrew and St Catherine say they are now in watch mode.
“Activities at several poling station are dwindling down, we are in the final stages of the voting, so all we can now do is wait,” Andrew Ripley, a voter in the Kingston Central constituency told OBSERVER ONLINE before polls closed at 5:00 pm.
In sections of the Kingston East constituency, the sentiments were the same.
“Well, we beleive we have done the work in terms of voting, so now is to keep our fingers crossed,” another supporter said.
In Portmore at the Marine Park Polling Station in the St Catherine Southern constituency, voters were also optimistic despite low voter turnout.
And in the constituency of Prime Minster Portia Simpson Miller, supporters were in a different mood.
“For us it’s not no wait and see, we know we win already,” said one orange-clad supporter.
He made the comment while standing among a group of more than 100 supporters.
