His declaration was met by shouts of confirmation: “Shower!”, “Amos!”, “Bobby is nobody!”
“Amos” is in reference to the JLP candidate Newton Amos, while the latter was playing on the slogan used by PNP candidate Bobby Pickersgill —”Still nobody but Bobby”.
“Right now a pose them a pose and dem no have no vote so we a make sure ours safe,” another JLP supporter said in reference to the Comrades.
Before going to the polling station at Bermaddy Primary School, the Observer ONLINE was was informed by correspondents at Pickersgill’s headquarters said they received calls for increased police presence at the location because of reports of intimidation of PNP supporters.
