#DecisionJa2016: Buchanan expects to retain St Andrew West Rural seat
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — Incumbent for St Andrew West Rural Paul Buchanan says he expects to return as Member of Parliament for the constituency, winning his seat by at least 500 votes.
Blowing his own trumpet, he said on Thursday that he is certain of Red Hills, Brandon Hill, Lawrence Tavern, and even Stony Hill.
On his entrance to the Red Hills Division, scores of Jamaica Labour Party supporters could be seen jeering him, but he said they were from Tivoli and did not phase him.
“They are not from Red Hills, they are from Tivoli and won’t affect us,” he said.
Buchanan added: “I’m heading to Stony Hill to fight the infidels.”
