#DecisionJa2016: 45 per cent turn out in Point Hill
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — The constituency of St Catherine West Central has so far seen a voter turnout of 45 per cent at the Point Hill Junior High polling division.
Electoral of Jamaica worker Eletha Gardener told the Observer Online that she expects the numbers to increase as the day progresses. The polling division has a total of 165 registered voters.
Voting process at the Point Hill Junior High is being smoothly executed with the assistance of the police.
PNP Liaison Officer, Natalee Hendricks however stated that a minor hiccup occurred when a few supporters were seen moving in and out of the polling stations.
“That has, however, been sorted out and operations are back to normal,” she said.
On location is Dr Christopher Tufton from the JLP, who is being challenged by the People’s National Party’s Clinton Clarke.
