Marginal decline in special services voter turnout — EOJ
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Electoral Office of Jamaica (EOJ) this morning reported that 63 per cent of police, military and Election Day workers (EDWs) cast their ballots at 282 polling stations island-wide on Monday.
The figures show a marginal decline when compared with the 68.3 per cent overall turnout for the 2011 General Election. It comprised 74.6 per cent EDWs, 56.2 per cent of police personnel and 39.8 per cent from the military.
Of the 39, 108 special services personnel registered to vote on Monday, 24, 721 voted as shown in the results below:

Director of Elections Orrette Fisher indicates that the voting process went smoothly yesterday.
“The polls opened on time at 8:00 am and we have not received any reports of any incidences taking place. It was a smooth process and we had fair turnout of voters,” he said.
