#DecisionJa2016: Donaldson vows to claim St James East Central for PNP
ST JAMES, Jamaica — People’s National Party (PNP) candidate for St James East Central, Noel Donaldson, has expressed confidence in wresting the seat from incumbent Edmund Bartlett on Thursday, February 25.
Speaking at a mass PNP rally now under way at the Catherine Hall Sports Complex in St James, Donaldson expressed shock over what he claims is the lack of piped water in 80 per cent of the constituency.
In the meantime, he noted that his absence at a major party rally held in Half-Way-Tree, recently, sent the wrong signal to his rivals who begun to gloat that he left the party.
“Hear the man dem say Donaldson gone. Well Donaldson nah go no weh,” he noted.
“Come Friday morning, 26th of February, East Central St James is going to have a new MP from the People’s National Party.”
The seat, which has been represented by Bartlett since 2007, is now said to be a marginal one by political pundits.
