Hi-Lyte/RTA Super Series Schools Tennis Championship on
THE two-day Hi-Lyte/Russell Tennis Academy (RTA) Super Series for Under-16 and Under-18 High Schools begin today at Campion College, starting at 11:00 am.
The event is a lead-up to the inaugural staging of the best-of-the-best Championship Tennis for high schools.
Tournament organiser and Director Rayne Russell said that this weekend’s tournament should attract the top players from the high schools, and he expects a large entry as they will be getting themselves ready for next month’s challenging assignments.
“This weekend’s tournament should also be a test for the players in the Under-16 and Under-19 age group categories. I also expect a lot of exciting and entertaining performances from the players,” Russell said.
Russell, who is a former Jamaica Davis Cup player, said entries have been pouring in and it should turn out to be a successful tournament.
