#DecisionJa2016: PNP manifesto sucks, JLP manifesto rocks – Holness
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica Labour Party Leader Andrew Holness says that the People’s National Party (PNP) manifesto “sucks”, while the JLP’s “rocks”.
Reaching out to young voters as he launched the document inside the Talk of the Town restaurant at the Jamaica Pegasus, New Kingston, today, Holness told the crowd: “I urge Jamaicans, we have taken the time, we have done the research, the PNP hasn’t done any research. They have taken your vote for granted. They believe that because of tradition, no matter what they say you are going to (vote for them).
“I don’t believe that. What I see on the ground are young people hoping for a chance. They want an opportunity and with our 10-point plan we are giving you value for your vote,” Holness stated.
“We are giving you an opportunity. So, all I have to say to the PNP is that your manifesto sucks, and our manifesto rocks,” he added.
Holness said that the manifesto has something in it for every sector.
“We are considering everyone in our plan,” he stated.
He also announced that the JLP has launched an app, JLP 2016, which is available from the Google Play Store.
He said that people have started downloading the app and are sending their comments by phone.
“We have received close to 500 comments so far…the manifesto is there along with other interesting material,” he said as he urged youths to stay in touch through the JLP and Andrew Holness Facebook pages.
