#DecisionJa2016: Mike Henry predicts at least 35 seats for JLP
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica Labour Party(JLP) campaign director Mike Henry says he expects the party to win at least 35 seats in next Thursday’s general election.
Henry told this morning’s launch of the party’s 2016 manifesto that the JLP already has 35 seats in the bag.
However, he said that the party would not relax on that projection, but expected that the launch of the manifesto would increase the party’s plans and increase support.
Henry urged Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller to “come out of hiding” and face JLP Leader Andrew Holness in a debate prior to the election.
He added that the JLP’s celebrations will start on February 24, the eve of the election and 131st anniversary of the birth of national hero and JLP founder, Sir William Alexander Bustamante.
