JMMB says Khia Josina Duncan’s views on Holness are her own
THE Duncan-family led Jamaica Money Market Brokers (JMMB) has disassociated itself from a Twitter post Monday evening by family member Khia Josina Duncan.
The young Duncan family member, minutes after Opposition Leader Andrew Holness disclosed the source of funding of his Beverly Hills house, wrote:
“Not only that he made money from JMMB (and) he is now campaigning against the family that help to build his castle.”
A JMMB statement, which came after a backlash on social media, said it wished “to advise that Ms Khia Josina Duncan’s views are her own, and not those of JMMB”.
The money market broker also said the disclosure regarding Holness’s property purchase was made by Holness and not by JMMB.
It added: “The JMMB has been and remains committed to partnering with Jamaicans from all walks of life, and all political persuasions, in the achievement of their financial dreams.
“Also, as part of our social responsibility, we support the political process in our country by contributing equally to each of the major political parties.
Two members of the Duncan clan — Patricia Duncan-Sutherland and Imani Duncan-Price are among the slate of candidates for the ruling People’s National Party in the February 25 general elections.
