#DecisionJa2016: PNP questions if Holness’ home loans were secured or unsecured
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — People’s National Party (PNP) campaign spokesperson Delano Franklyn has reiterated the party’s decision to not participate in the national debates unless Opposition leader Andrew Holness “fully” addresses the issues it has raised.
Speaking to journalists at the party’s Old Hope Road headquarters in St Andrew, Franklyn said Holness’ response to the five issues raised by the party has been ” less than satisfactory”.

He said the $52 million sum put forward by Holness for the expenditure of his house is not in keeping with the opinion of experts in the field, despite the party saying it has put the issue to rest.
He said persons engaged and qualified to speak on the matter said the most conservative cost would be approximately $125 million.
Franklyn also said the party is still not satisfied that Holness has not indicated if the loans, which he was able to secure, were secured or unsecured and if secured what assets were used to secure them.

Equally, the party said the Opposition leader has not stipulated the time frame given to him by credit suppliers for credit.
In the meantime, Franklyn said the party notes that the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ), the church, and Jamaica Manufacturers’ Association (JMA) have voiced their concerns regarding the party’s decision, and is prepared to engage in private conversation with them.
