#DecisionJa2016: Mikael Phillips knocks JLP’s ’empty’ 10-point plan
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — People’s National Party candidate for Manchester North Western and Region 5 chairman Mikael Phillips has reiterated that Opposition Leader Andrew Holness’ 10-point plan is “empty”.
One of the proposals of Holness’ 10-point plan, which is targeting economic growth,is to increase the income tax threshold to $1.5 million.
Addressing hundreds of party faithful in Mandeville squar, Manchester, a short while ago, Phillips said: “…When the other people dem come wid plan it empty, is empty promises.”
“When we talk about education, it’s the People’s National Party… When we talk about economy, it’s the People’s National Party,” he said.
At the same time, he encouraged PNP supporters not to become complacent, noting that the campaign is not complete and that the party has not won yet.
“On the 25th, when trumpet has sounded and the People’s National Party returns to power, the hotter the battle, wah dem seh, sweeter the victory,” Phillips charged.
