#DecisionJa2016: PNP’s Noel Donaldson vows to defeat Ed Bartlett
ST JAMES, Jamaica — People’s National Party (PNP) candidate for St James East Central Noel Donaldson has vowed to defeat incumbent for the constituency, Jamaica Labour Party’s Ed Bartlett, in the upcoming general election.
Addressing scores of party supporters in Adelphi Square, St James, shortly after he was nominated at the St James East Central Electoral Office, Donaldson charged that the time has come for Bartlett to be replaced.
“The time has come for better representation. The time has come for an end to neglect. The time has come for Bartlett to go,” Donaldson told cheering party supporters.
Bartlett has represented the constituency as member of Parliament for 14 years. In the 2011 general election, he retained the seat by a margin of just over 200 votes.
