#DecisionJa2016: Mixture of green, orange as supporters await arrival of James Robertson and Marsha Francis
ST THOMAS, Jamaica — Green and orange clad supporters are dancing together in the streets of Yallahs, St Thomas as they await the arrival of the incumbent the Jamaica Labour Party’s James Robertson who is scheduled to be nominated any time now and the People’s National Party Marsha Francis following shortly after.
It is a carnival-type atmosphere as the Labourites gather around the truck blaring the JLP’s popular roll call song and spilling over into the streets, forcing motorists to manoeuvre carefully through the crowd.
A short distance outside of Yallahs Square Francis supporters are gathered in an equally jubilant mood as they await their candidate.
Several members of the Jamaica Defence Force and the Jamaica Constabulary Force are strategically placed on the compound of Yallahs Primary where the candidates are slated to be nominated.
